Our Baby.... Leto

I know some of you out there have had some concern that Adam and I might not ever have kids... Well, we finally did it!!

Here he is meeting his new family. Cam was not so sure about this new little creature. But Leto was super excited to see him.

How do you not love this wrinkly face!!?

He was right at home from the beginning. He is a perfect match for Adam and I... He loves to sleep almost as much as we do. The only difference is... He sleeps in the most random places and positions. We laugh at him every day!

He loves kids!! They sometimes love him... He only knocks them over... sometimes...

(on accident, of course!)

BFF's! They are two peas in a pod. It is so nice because they keep each other busy. It is funny how true he is to a child. He wants Adam when he wants to play or go outside. He wants me when he is tired or not feeling well.

Here he is going down the slide all on his own!! He is such a big boy! ;)

We really have lucked out. He is a good puppy and is training really well. He has such a fun personality and we already know what his different actions and expressions mean. He is mello and great with kids and people.

We love him!!

San Antonio / Army All-American Bowl

In January we were lucky enough to go to San Antonio, TX. It may be my favorite city I have ever visited. Everywhere you turned there was amazing architecture and history. We walked the city for 3 days straight and saw all there was to see... it was tiring and yet I couldn't get enough! Here are just a few (my favorites) of the amazing photos I was able to take of the city....

This one was my mom and my favorite. It is triangular! So COOL!!!

This building is the County Courthouse. I especially liked it because it looks like a beehive on top.

This building was cool because the gray bottom is an original building from when the city was first established. They added the rest years later.

The Hospital.

This is the chapel built to entomb the remains of the Alamo heros. Davie Crocket, James Bowie, and William B. Travis.

The real reason that we went to San Antonio was to support Ryker. He was one of 99 high school seniors in the entire country invited to play in the Army All-American Bowl. We got to experience the whole thing with him. Go to practices, BBQ, banquet, multiple cool army exhibits and of course the BIG GAME. Ryker had two army mentors that he was able to spend a lot of time with and we got to meet and hang with them as well. They we really cool guys and I know Ryker is hoping to stay in touch with them through out his career.

After the game all of the players were set up down on the field to sign autographs and mingle with fans. We had so much fun watching him. We are so proud of all his hard work. Love ya Tyke!!

5 cRaZy YeArS

Adam and I have made it to our 5 year anniversary....
Here is a little of what we have been up to...

We have had 7 cars, 3 residences, and 9 jobs. We have been to Florida, Colorado, California, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Cabo, Belize, Isla Roatan, Costa Maya, & Cozumel. We have had 3 fish, 2 roommates, and 0 kids. We both have worked on our education. We have been blessed with 1 new sister-in-law and 3 new nieces that we love dearly. We have been to 3 high school graduations and uncountable football, baseball, and basketball games. We have watched way too many movies and read too little books. We have been to 9 concerts that I can remember. There has been lots of camping, amusement parks, water parks, and many more adventures along the way...

We have gone on walks and bike rides, watched the sun rise and set. We have cooked, made messes, cleaned them up, been lazy, been crazy, worked hard, and done service next to each other.

We have had many ups and down along these 5 years but I do know that I am so grateful to have him as my husband. He is kind, caring and patient. He has a soft heart and an open mind. He loves me unconditionally and I am truly a lucky woman. Love you Adam.

This Summer I ....

This Summer I enjoyed a new hobby... BEE KEEPING!! I have had so much fun since the beginning of Spring buying and painting my hive, gather tools and equipment, and actually getting my first 3lb package of bees! I have a hat, a veil, a long sleeve jacket and gloves as my armor and I have gone out to my hive many times over the summer. I get to open up the hive and with 100's of bees flying around my head I give them water and make sure that the hive is functioning well.
My in-laws have been nice enough to let me put my hive in their back yard. Even though I am sure it has been a pain for them at times they have been gracious hosts to the stinging insects living in their back yard.

Adam has been a great help! He took on thousands of wasps over the summer who had threatened my hive. He also was the one out side with the camera to take pictures of everything. He has yet to be stung by wasp or bee! How is this possible!?!?

Finally the end of the season is here and after all my hard work, (ha ha! Okay, so the bees did all the work) it was time to take my hive apart for the final inspection of the year and to take any excess honey to harvest and have for myself.
I invited my family over as well as the Healey family to have a BBQ and enjoy the first sweet tastes of ABC Honey.

Ben came over to help me with the inspection and harvest and we had a big snag. The late afternoon sun had covered the hive with shade. The problem with this is in order to get the bees out of the hive so you can take the honey you must have direct sun light. Ben quickly suggested moving the hive into the sun. This entails completely uprooting the bees' home and moving it. Meanwhile having more bees out of the hive and potentially making them more angry and agitated.

We started out smoking the hive and spraying them with sugar water. The hope is that this will get the bees distracted and busy while we do our thing.

Then we moved the hive into the sun one box at a time. (these boxes are full of honey and pollen, they are heavy! Sometimes up to 100lbs each!)

Once we get the boxes over to the sun we start pulling out each individual frame to make sure the hive is healthy and operating well.

After checking everything and deciding which frames we can remove for honey. We move the hive back to it's original home and put it back together. Yes, all of the black spots on the camera are bees. There were thousands! (Notive the ABC Honey sign that Hilary and Tammie made for me in the 3rd picture. So cute!!)

Here we are in the garage extracting the honey. First, you use a hot capping knife to cut off the wax capping that holds the honey in place. Then, you put the frames in the extractor and spin the frames super fast to pull the honey out.

End of summer totals:
I hung around with thousands of bees.
I received 6 bee stings (all out of love)
I accumulated about 3 gallons of honey which equals out to be about 36 pounds!!
The amount of anxiety I experienced while bees fly all around me and crawl all over me and the amazing time I had learning about bees and having my own hive! There is no number here, it was simply too awesome.

Peytons Birthday - 1 Year Old

Yesterday was Peyton's birthday! I can believe she is 1 already!! We all went over to Chris and Kelly's house for the big par-tay.. Peyton is in that phase where she loves getting her picture taken and she cheeses it in such a way it almost looks painful.. We loved it and I took lots of shots. So cute!! The real funny thing is I still have her new born pictures on my camera.. so you get one from the beginning too!

She loved all of her presents but the three she was the most excited for was her blanket from Tutu and Hoto, her new Teddy from Uncle Colton and Aunt Paige and her favorite of all was her Winnie the Pooh birthday card from Granny and Wes. (she looked at it forever and held it up and babbled like she was reading it to us!)

She was not into her cake at all. We had to force her to get into it and then she got kind of mad when we did.

Haunted Canyon aka Heber Creeper

I hate haunted houses with a passion mostly because I get really scared! I have not gone to anything haunted for years. Kami and our friend Marshall wanted me to go to a huanted house and I was resisting so the compromise was that we would go on the Haunted Canyon train ride. (it is for kids 11 and up) So we went and look at these pictures! So creepy! Actually if you have kids this would be a blast for them. All of the kids that were on the train seemed to have fun. And so did we!!

BYU Game

I was lucky enough to go to the BYU game with Ryker and enjoy the recruit treatment. We went down onto the field before the game and watched the team warm up. We also sat with other recruits in some great seats on the 8th row! Ryker is still not sure what school he wants to go to but it is sure fun to enjoy this ride with him. Thanks Ryker for sharing your fame and tickets. :)

I never thought I would be cheering for the Vikings but Kyler had a football game on Saturday and they won!! Round one of the Play Offs passed with flying colors! Good job Kyler! You are doing great!

Looks like Ryker has someone gearing up to follow in his footsteps! I see two similar pictures with very similar moves!

Flaming Gorge!

Last weekend my amazing Aunt Pam put together a fun weekend trip to Flaming Gorge to get our families together. I do believe this is going to become an annual thing and I will be there every year! This was so much fun! I only hope that we can slowly start extending it so that we are there longer!
We had a boat, some wave runners, fun camping and great company!
I don't usually water ski so I am not very good but I sure do have a ton of fun when I do it! Check me out...

And here is my beautiful cousin Kami giving us all leassons on how to do our hair. She is amazing at it and we are all a little hair retarded. Kami get to beauty school already so I have someone good to take care of my hair!
And Ryker was hang with the girls but for some weird reason would not let us touch his hair.

Trip To Denver

Since I was not able to see Adam on my birthday his parents and sister and bro-in-law pitched in a bought me a ticket to go see him for my birthday! I was so excited because I had not seen Adam in forever. We had planned to meet his cousin Ashley and her husband Ryan for a day at Elitch Gardens. (An amusement park) That was a blast. They are always so much fun!! Adam was able to have Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday off! Which is a rare thing with his job. We were completely lazy. We hung by the pool, where I won a drawing and got some free money to Macy's, we went to a movie, rode the motorcycle, and mostly just enjoyed being together. It was the best trip yet! I love that kid!

26 Birthdays!

I turned 26 on the 13th of July and lucky for me so far my age and getting older has still not bothered me. It was a fun Birthday all though I missed Adam like crazy. My family all came over and we had a great time! Here is a cute picture of the girls!

My Aunt Pam had a fantastic idea to get the girls together for a girls night out! We decided to hit the Kelly Clarkson Concert that was held at UVU. We went to Cafe Rio first and it was yummy as ever! We got to the concert kind of late and so we didn't sit that close but we didn't care. We had a lot of room to dance and sing. It was raining so my mom and I bought some matching rain boots! It was so much fun! Thanks Aunt Pam! Love you!

So I would like to introduce you to Peyton Anne Mathews! She was born on April 28th, 2009. Superbowl XLIII World Champions!

Gotta love Pittsburgh! I know, and you know, that I do! This years game was a nail biter and the Steelers almost lost it in the end but because of the skill and the fact that they play a "60 Minute Game" they prevailed and caught an amazing touchdown pass in the last minute of the game coming from behind and winning 27-23! (Since most of my girlfriends didn't watch most of the game I thought I should recap.) My sister-in-law, Dasia's, family invited Adam and me over for a party! We had so much fun. They went all out with decorations and yummy treats! Thanks Angela and Trista! You guys are party planning goddesses!

Rock Climbing

So my one claim to fame in the rock climbing world was climbing the wall they brought in for our senior party. (yes! senior in high school!) The only reason I climbed it was because the guy running it was super cute. I know tis a proud moment in my life.
Well Adam is pretty big into rock climbing and for four years he has been trying to get me to go with him and I kept coming up with excuses... but now that I have decided I am lazy and need to get out more. I went. I am not good and my upper body strength is practically non existent but I made it to the top and that was a pretty dang good feeling! Adam was up and down every wall they had. He is awesome! I am excited to go more. Hopefully build a little muscle in these arms!

Okay so it was very sad when I got back to my office and realized my camera had been STOLEN!!! Yup you read it right. It was the week before Christmas so I just thought I was out of luck because I was sure Adam would not get me one for Christmas. But I hinted my little heart out and ........... He came through!! He bought me the exact one I wanted (although he didn't realize it at the time) It was a wonderful surprise! So if you were wondering if I had died, NOPE, a fate worse than death... I had no camera!

So now I will be doing a catch up blog!!! Just what everybody loves.

My mom had a wonderful idea to play bingo for fun little prizes on Christmas Day. Well these two boys were the unlucky winners of blackout at the end of the game. We voted that the winner has to do a snow angel in the snow with their shirt off... (girls excluded) It was a good time!

Dasia's Birthday was on Dec. 30th! Unfortunately Avrie stole the spot light with her messy eating habits so she was the only one I got a picture of... But it sure is cute!

This Halloween weekend was more fun than I have had on Halloween for years. I think it was because I was actually with the little kiddies that I love so much. What is Halloween with out kids trick-or-treating! Our Good friends Jason, Sky and their son Luke came to visit us for the weekend. We had the fam over to our house for chili and cornbread! Then went over to Adam's parents neighborhood to go trick-or-treating. There was a house with a spook ally that was a lot of fun. Also the bishop was making homemade donuts! Saturday night the adults went to Thriller! Which is a awesome way to celebrate Halloween! We always have so much fun with Hawkes family! Adam is trying very hard to talk Jason into moving down by us! Hopefully one day it will work!

Football Season Ends for the Cavemen

Well this is a sad post. I love football. Although I am still able to watch the Steelers, which I love, I am sad to see Ryker's High School season come to a close. The good thing is that they won their game last night. They had a rough season so to end on a good note was so exciting. Plus it was an exciting 4th quarter which is always good for the fans. Ryker had a fantastic year for a sophomore starting on the varsity team. I am so proud of him! (There is even whisper that he will be a captain next year, as a junior!!) He is a great leader and has a lot of potential for good things in his life.
We love you Tyke!

I just had to add pictures of our two newest "I wanna be like Tyke!" members. Camden and Kenley had enough layers on to fit into adult sized T-Shirts, well kind of fit! They were so cute! They danced every time the cheerleaders cheered! And Camden sat on my lap and yelled everything I told him to at the top of his lungs! Hopefully he has a voice today!

Roommates!

While I was in collage at Utah State I had the best roommates! I roomed with Amber Park Stroman the first year along with 4 girls I didn't know. All 4 were fantastic but Kara (my very own Canadian) was one that I met and had a real connection with. So the next year Amber and I decided to room with another good friend from high school, Melissa Palmer Pace, and of course KARA! The four of us had so much fun. Dressing up like vampires for Halloween, throwing ourselves fake birthday parties, hanging out with a million different guys, playing with our awesome neighbors across the hall and downstairs, staying up late, sleeping in late, driving each other up the snowy hill because it was just way too cold to walk, night hikes, polar bearing, March Madness, and my favorite the "HOT OR NOT" wall!!! Those were the days! Now as life goes, Melissa has moved to Washington state were I almost never see her and Amber is in Harvest Hills, she lives close but with busy lives I don't see her as mush as I would like, and up until now Kara has stayed in Logan. Although it is far drive we have be pretty good about meeting every month or so and doing lunch. Sunday was one of those lunches but sadly enough it was our last lunch. She is moving back home to Canada. (not just Canada, Nova Scotia, the farthest possible area) I knew it would come some day and I am so happy for her. I will miss her dearly and will defiantly be planning a vacation to see her home. Kara you are awesome! Thank you for all of the fun memories! I love you!

The Cabin with Samber and Savy

Adam and I had the pleasure of sharing our weekend with the cutest little chica in the whole wide world. SAVY STROMAN! Oh yeah and her parents Sam and Amber. They were nice enough to invite us up for a lazy weekend at Sam's family's cabin. It was just what the doctor ordered. WE played rock band well into the late hours and believe it or not we all took a turn with lead vocal... even ADAM! (Late hours... like 12:00am. We are so getting old.) It was so much fun to have friends that you can be, as scary as it may be, 100% yourself. Adam thinks it is great how Amber and I have maintained our friendship all these years, even if we only see each other when our busy schedules permit. I am just happy that she married someone as awesome and funny as Sam. Thanks again for the invite guys! Can't wait for GAME NIGHT!

I wanna be like TYKE!

So we are either the coolest family... or the lamest. I am sticking with coolest! Last year my mom and I came up with the idea to make shirts to support Ryker in all of his sporting adventures. Chris and I argued about what they should say. He wanted "I like Tyke" and I wanted "I wanna be like Tyke". (Tyke, is Ryker's nickname) We took a vote and of course I win! (Maybe everybody is afraid. Excellent!) So finally, thanks to some help from our friends at Logo-It-On, who by the way are the best, we were able to put our idea into action. Oh Yeah and here is more proof that I NEED A NEW CAMERA!!!

My Grandma was in the hospital last week. It was a really close one for Betty so we all felt like we needed to pay her a visit. As soon as things took a turn for the better and we knew she would be okay we started to party. It has been a very long time since all of the cousins were together. We are very silly! Wolf Creek Camping

Over Labor day weekend Adam and I went camping with him family! We went to Wolf Creek which is East of Heber. We had a ton of fun! Adam was reunited with his long lost twin cousin, Brian! (They were born on the same day) They don't hang out as much as they would like so it was fun to see them finally have time to hang out.

Our good friend Tatum came with us. As good planners do... we each brought everything we needed... therefor. We had two of everything!

Well according to my brother, Samuel, I am the only person in the world with the ability to drag my birthday out as long as humanly possible. I call it a gift! But Last Thursday night was my final birthday present and my wonderful mother-in-law bought me a ticket to Brian Reagan! For those of you who don't know who he is...He is the funniest, cleanest comedian out there! I went with my mother-in-law and two sister-in-laws, April and Hilary! We had so much fun. I laughed until I cried more than once. My stomach hurt after it was over! WE had the hook ups with some friends who got us seats in the very front! Want a great night! Thanks Tammie! I love

This last weekend was so much fun! Adam and I went to see our dear friends Sky, Jason, and little Luke. (Although neither of us thought to take pictures, it must have been all the fun we were having!) We had a BBQ on Friday and met some super fun/nice people. Jason started the Saturday off with a yummy breakfast. We went bowling, had a picnic, went to the stinky army surplus store, went out for Chinese food at one of the top restaurants in the U.S. and stayed up late watching The God Father! Thanks for everything! You guys are the shiznit! We had a blast!

P.S. And don't let me forget that Adam and I rode the motorcycle to Idaho Falls and back... Long.... ride..... Will I ever do it again? Probably... but I don't know why!!!!

The Big 2..5..!!

Well my Birthday was on Sunday and it was a great day! I have never had a problem getting older and although everybody told me this year would be different. I still didn't seem to mind it. Adam and I were up at snowbird all day with the whole Dunn clan. Although I didn't get to choose where to be on my day. I was glad to be with so many people who love me. Everybody remembered and I even got a very pretty harmonized version of Happy Birthday from Denny, Sue, Jesse, Tina, Josh, Ashley, Ryan, and I think Nate and his friend Austin were around. It was beautiful!!! Hilary put up a huge happy birthday sign. Tammie made me a cake and Adam and Hilary decorated it! And then I got sung to again! They did a great job at making the day feel special. Thanks everybody!
I also have to give a shout out to Adam because he was right on top of the gift situation! He listened and knew exactly what to get me while maintaining the element of surprise! Thanks Babe!

Proudest Moment Ever!

On Saturday, July 6th, Adam and I went to Seven Peaks with the whole family! It was so much fun! The weather was great! The new rides are awesome! All was well until Adam told me that I had to go up to the highest tower and ride the FREE FALL!! For those of you who don't know... the Free Fall starts to you at the highest point at the park. You lay down with your arms and feet crossed and you slide STRAIGHT down! SCARY! Okay so I am terrified of heights! Adam dragged me and my brave girls Dasia and Annie up there. He went down and told us all the we better follow. Annie went first... AAAAHHHHH!!! Dasia and I could not believe that she had just done it. I am glad that she did because she gave me the strength that I needed to just walk over, lay down, and let the water push me over the edge to what I thought would for sure be my death. The surprise of my life! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!! So we waited for Dasia to work up her courage and when she got to the bottom she agreed that it was crazy fun! So we ran to the top of the tower and tried the Speed Breaker aka the Sky Breaker(which turned out to be the scariest of all) and the Jagged Edge! Now I am just mad that I have missed out on these fun water slides my whole life! Better late than never!

Summer Concerts

So Adam and I are pretty random when it comes to the music that we listen to. Last week we went to Joe Nichols, Collin Raye, & Josh Gracin! Breaker Breaker 1-9...! It was so much fun! It was for the UVU Celebration. We got the whole family...step family....in-laws to come! WE had so much fun dancing around and playing. ( Sky! I gave Josh Gracin a High-Five!)

A couple of days after we went to POISON!! BRET MICHAELS I LOVE YOU!! I forgot my camera so I took a couple with my phone.... They are not very good. :( This concert went into my top ten list of concerts!! WE had so much fun watching the band as we did watching all the oldies who have been with Poison for the 21 years they have been together! He was singing "I Want Action!" I know this is really bad... My phone sucks!!!

Water Balloons

Adam and I are considered the cool Aunt and Uncle. (At least in our own minds) WE decided that sense all of the kids were coming over for dinner at my Mom's on Sunday it would be fun to get some water balloons and fill them up FOR THE KIDS to play with. Kelly and I sit and start filling them up before dinner and as you can imagine the kids could not stay away. It was every adult in the house to keep them from grabbing and throwing them. After dinner we decide to let them at it. Well as it turns out the adults had way more fun with 250 water balloons.

Here we are minding our own business. Filling up water balloons and Ryker comes and dumps a bucket of water on Adam.... then another bucket on Kelly.... Then another on me. You would think I would learn.

Tutu and Hoto with Flave. She didn't like the water balloons... All she saw was everybody going crazy. She started crying.

Tyke thought he was so clever with the hose.....

It took Samuel, Adam, and Christopher... But they got him back!

We all ended soaked and happy. I think we will have to do it again soon!

SLC Art Festival

Last night we went to the Art Festival to hear my (well Adam's) cousins play. Ashley came up with Adam and I and when we get together we can be a little silly! As you can see from the face painting... We were standing in line talking about the adventure we were about to have and we said " We are going to be such fun mom's because we wont be scared to do funny things." Then we realized that we were standing in the line with about 15 other kids none of which were related to us in any which way... Yup we don't have kids yet. We got a good chuckle about it! Thanks Ashley for being crazy with me! You are awesome!

So it is Ashley's husband, Ryan, and her brother Josh that play in the band. (Ashley & Josh are Adam's cousins)
The name of their band is The New Nervous and they are really good. Adam and I go and see them play whenever we can. The music is a little bit hard but if you wanna check out a good local band let me know and I will tell you when the next show is so you can check it out.

Josh is in the yellow shirt and Ryan plays the Drums. (I was at a bad angle to get a good shot of Ryan.. but I didn't get up to get a better one... ha)

Fifth Water Hot Springs

Last Friday night I experienced my first backpacking trip. I got my own backpack and everything. It was a small hike to start with. 2.6 miles in... We pitched a tent, started a fire, made some top raman and then just went to bed. I slept the best I ever have in a tent. We camped next to a river and so it was nice and calming. The water also drowned out any creepy forest noises that usually keep me up. There was two bad things about the trip... My sandals were new so they beat the crap out of my feet (four blisters) and I am totally out of shape. But that is why we are becoming more active! I have to add that despite me shoes... I didn't complain once! Which is not like me at all.. :) I am excited for next weekend but I think we will just do a day hike.
P.S. There was hot springs and they were really pretty...but it is too dang hot to get in them!

Riding Day!

For the first time Adam and I were invited to ride with a big group of motorcycles! IT was so fun!! We went around Alpine Loop. We were defiantly not those scary looking biker dudes with tattoos and beards and leather. (Well maybe Adam) We were your Utah riders. Helmets, big smiles, and the nerd with her camera ready to blog the whole thing. IT was a beautiful day and we had a blast!

Daddy Shout Out!!

Father's Day is always a interesting day for me. This year I just want to take a second to give credit where credit is due. First of all my daddy dearest! He passed away when I was 15, not a day goes by that I do not think of him. Always I am greatful for the time I did have with him and the lessons that he has taught me in life and in death. He is awesome and I know he has a purpose on the other side that I will never fully understand. I would not be the person I am today if it were not for him. I love him dearly. Thanks Dad.

Now I know that this is weird but I love my Father-in-Law just like he was my own dad! Mike is awesome and has really opened his arms to me. I appreciate everything that he does. He makes me smile and loves Adam and me no matter what crazy plans we are cooking up! Thanks Mike for all that you do for me and the love that you show to me daily!

Now this might be even crazier but my step dad is awesome as well! I love him just like a father. He is so spiritual and always has great advise! He is super funny and sometimes I have no idea what he is talking about. But I love him just the same. He takes great care of my mom and younger brother Ryker. He too has opened his arms to me and too my whole family for that matter! Thanks Thom! I love you!

I have truly been blessed to have all of these fathers in my life!

Miss Lehi

My cutest sister-in-law faced her shyness and participated in the Miss Lehi Pageant last week! She is beautiful and did very well in every event! I would just like to say that she totally got robbed of the swimsuit event!! We are so proud of her for just getting up on stage and trying something new!! Hilary, you are awesome!
The fact that I have a husband that does not get that flipping off the camera and ruining every picture is getting old!!! (Although this one just shows their personalities)

The WII!!

Well as you all know I have no kids so the fact that we have a WII that we play all of the time is... well... it's sad! But finally I had kids to play the game that is generally purchased for them. Samuel and Dasia were down last weekend and they came over and the three boys could not get enough of Mario Cart, bowling, baseball, and pool! (Samuel and Kyler played five games of pool and Kyler beat him EVERY time!!) Avrie was such a good sport. She just wondered around because I have realized that my house is the most boring house for little kids!! No cool toys... She settled on playing with the coasters... I need to get some toys. What kind of an Aunt doesn't have toys?!?!?

Tin Foil Dinners

For Memorial Day Adam and I were supposed to go camping with his family but the campground we had reserved ended up being snowed in. So we decided to have a fire and camp out in the in-laws front yard. Sam, Amber and Savy came over to have tin foil dinners and smores with us. Camden and Savy had a great time. For Camden it was love at first sight... He called her "Vanna". It was single handedly the cutest thing ever to watch him grab her and smoosh her face trying to kiss her.

It was a perfect night! Not too cold when you sat close to the fire... Here are some more fun pictures of everybody! P.S. I let my father-in-law take the pictures.... enough said.

American Idol Has Ended!

David Archuleta came is second.... all of my calling in could not save him from the fact that David Cook appeals to the majority of the country! I am fine with it because I know that I did my part and voted more than any one person should. (My Bunco group can confirm this because I was holding up the game with my voting in between rounds. Thanks for not killing me guys!) I am just so proud of the sweet little Murray boy! Hopefully he will continue on and become the next Barry Manilow! Because you know I am a FANILOW!! Now I know that you are thinking, "Yes! Alesha can get back to a regular life and give your obsession a rest.", alas there is one thing that I love more than American Idol and that is SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE! It starts tonight and if you have never watched it.... WATCH IT!!!

It's a BUNCO Party!!!!

Let me just start by saying I LOVE Bunco!! Some of my good friends from high school have put together a Bunco group. It is so much fun we laugh and scream all night long. I actually started to loose my voice last time. It is so fun to stay in touch with everybody and also I have met some super cute girls that are becoming fast friends! Las Vegas Trip

Las Vegas was awesome! For those of you who thought we were crazy to take the motorcycle...WE DIDN'T! The weather just wasn't working. I was happy that we ended up taking the car anyway. I know my butt was happy! It was so nice to see Samuel and Dasia and the kids! We made it in time for Asher's birthday party. Adam and I got him a Spongebob Squarepants umbrella with matching Spongebob crocs! It was all he asked for! Then of course the kids got to release some frustration on Spongebob.

And of course the big reason that we went to Vegas was that my wonderful sister-in-law whom I love so much got baptized! I am so proud of her. It was awesome! WE took a fun family picture... Along with pictures with the missionaries. They were Drake's buddies! He loved hanging with them and is excited to go on a mission one day.

After a long day we were all super tired and of course Adam being the softy that he is ends up with a cute little girl snuggling up and falling asleep together! (I was only a little jealous...) It was a very fun trip and oddly enough I forgot I was in Las Vegas until we drove out of town and passed the strip along the way.

So I guess the Scion will have to move aside for the newest member of the family. Poor Scion is just not getting the attention that she is used to know that her sibling has come along.... Adam is so proud as you can see from the picture. He is so cute!!! We are planning on taking the bike to Las Vegas next weekend so I will be sure to keep you updated on the crazy 6 hour journey on a motorcycle!!! ( That should be the title of a movie! )

I love my nephews and nieces so much and i am lucky enough to live by 2 of the 6. We were out swinging on the one and only beautiful day, last Sunday! (what a tease...) Camden is so cute. He wanted to swing and ran over with his dad following close behind. When Camden realized that it was Dad and not Papa coming to swing he ran over to Papa and said, "Papa swing!" grabbed his hand and pulled him to the swing. Kenley was sporting her hat and sunglasses. She is so easy going. She only cares that she gets to hang out with her big bro! TOO CUTE!!! I can't even handle it!

A Blog World

Well I have finally decided to join the blogging world. Not that our lives are very exciting. Adam is just finishing up his third year of school and is working hard to be ready to take his Residential Journeyman License. I am so proud of him for getting this far. Only one more year to go. I am working at UVSC (soon to be UVU) and I am going to school for Elementary Education. I am only taking a few classes here and there. I am not in a huge hurry to get my degree done so why brake my back. We don't have any kids but we did just get a new car!! I guess that can be our baby for a while... A long while...
